JAN STIEGER NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF DBA INTERNATIONAL
Former CAC Executive Director Brings Deep Association Experience

JANUARY 10, 2011 McLean, Va. – DBA International, the trade association and voice for the debt buying industry, has named Jan P. Stieger as its executive director, the organization’s board of directors announced today.

Stieger, a 30-year veteran of association management, has spent the last nine years leading the California Association of Collectors (CAC), the nation’s oldest and largest statewide association representing the needs of third-party debt collectors. CAC is the state affiliate of the ACA International.

“Jan is an excellent choice to take the reins at DBA,” said Stuart Blatt, DBA International’s president. “Her record of achievement at CAC is stellar. Our board is looking forward to working closely with Jan as we start a new decade together.”

“I am thrilled to begin working with DBA International,” Stieger said. “DBA serves a vital role in promoting and protecting the interests of the debt buying community. I’m looking forward to contributing to DBA’s legacy, and meeting members next month at our annual conference in Las Vegas.”

As CAC’s Executive Director since 2001, Stieger was responsible for the full range of operations including all financial management, publication of a 48-page journal, the establishment of the association’s non-profit foundation and representing the membership’s needs in front of the state Legislature.

A Certified Meeting Planner, Stieger previously served in roles with the California Optometric Association and the California Pharmacists Association.
