DBA International Member Alert
DBA International is pleased to announce that President Kristin Dougherty has created a Special Legislative Task Force and appointed Gary E. Wood as the Chairman for 2009. With this area taking such a critical role of our association, this position will help DBA have a consistent voice and presence on Capitol Hill and develop and maintain relationships with Congressional leaders and their staff, and provide an experienced industry leader to work closely with our Executive Director as an advisor and liaison for our Association. Along with our lobbyists, this Task Force will have oversight of DBA's legislative agenda for 2009. It will manage the actions of the new administration while coaching and hosting the Hill visits with our Executive Director, Roger Knauf. Gary has attended more than 10 Capitol Hill visits over the last 2 years on behalf of DBA, and has been an essential voice on behalf of our members, in partnership with our lobbying firm, local grassroots efforts and DBA’s General Counsel.
