Gramm-Leach-Bliley Reporting Relief

DBA International is pleased to announce that Representatives Dennis Moore and Peter Roskam have reintroduced legislation providing relief from the annual reporting requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley bill. This relief will be available to entities that are prohibited from sharing personal information by some other act such as the FDCPA.   As you recall, DBA has been working on this issue for more than two years, and was successful in getting the proposed legislation passed in the House of Representatives last year.   

DBA is excited about the prospects for successful passage of this legislation this year.  By our estimates, DBA member companies pay approximately $25 million annually to satisfy the reporting requirements.  Our thanks to Representatives Moore and Roskam for their continuing support for this important change.
